Sunday Evening Prayer

We’ve decided to hold a prayer meeting on Sunday evenings in the Winter and Spring when there aren’t other special services taking place. These will be informal in nature, held in the manse, and open to all. We hope to be inspired by the experience of a church which did something similar, as recorded in the book, “Fresh wind, fresh fire” – one reviewer writes, “Focus on prayer. Dependence on God. No tricks or techniques. Just a great testimony of how God worked through faithful servants.”

The first of these prayer meetings will take place this Sunday, 8 January, at 7pm in the manse. If prayer for revival is on your heart, or if you’re curious about it, please join us.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Downpatrick service of prayer for Christian unity will take place on Sunday 15 January at 7pm in Downpatrick Presbyterian Church – special speaker Rev. Ken Newell. For those not travelling to Downpatrick the prayer meeting will continue in the manse that week.

Covenant Services

This service is your opportunity to rededicate yourself to God for the ensuing year, praying words such as, “I am no longer my own, but yours”. Whether you make New Year’s Resolutions or not, please resolve to participate in this meaningful service of worship and communion: Sunday 8 January in Dundrum (10.15am) and Newcastle (11.30am); Sunday 15 January in Downpatrick (11.30am).
