In conjunction with Castlewellan Holiday Week (although you don’t have to be at Castlewellan to join in) Downpatrick congregation offers a relaxed exploration of some sites associated with St Patrick.  These will include Down Cathedral and St Patrick’s Grave, St Patrick’s Memorial Church at Saul, Struell Wells, and ending with sandwiches and cake at the Methodist Church in Downpatrick on the site of one of the very few Methodist churches built in Ireland during John Wesley’s lifetime.
The tour will be guided by Brian and Helen Turner, and other members of the Downpatrick congregation.  Places are limited, so please book beforehand, and car-sharing would be a help.
Meet at Down Cathedral car-park, Downpatrick at 2.00 pm.  Tea will be served in Downpatrick Methodist Church at 5.00.
